The customized training that we offer at Evergreen College is specially designed to help you and your organization fulfill your training needs, and with a number of campuses conveniently located across the Greater Toronto Area, our programs are delivered when and where you need them.
Here at Evergreen College Ontario (a registered private career college under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005) we specialize in accelerated programs and practical training that ensures our students are workforce ready. This certification also makes us an eligible institution for the Canada Ontario Job Grant, a grant initiated by the Canadian government and Government of Ontario in 2014 (which will run until 2020). The COJG helps businesses to meet their training needs by providing funding for employee training.

Through this grant you can improve the flow of your business by adding to the skill sets of your employees. It is also more cost effective and efficient than sending out employees on their own to get training. By enrolling your workers in an Evergreen program you can rest assured that each individual is receiving the same high quality learning experience.
The grant is funded by the Canadian government through the Canada Job Grant Programs provided by the Government of Ontario. A 66% contribution goes towards learning resources such as courses, software, and textbooks (maximum of $10K per trainee). The goal of this grant is to help businesses offset the cost of employee skills development.
Determining the eligibility of your business and the individuals you’d like to send for training is easy. Each person must reside in Ontario and be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person. They must be completing an Ontario based training programs (like the accelerated and practical programs here at Evergreen). They are prohibited from participating in any other full-time training or educational programs at the same time, and must be sponsored by the organization that employs them or will be employing them after training.

For employer to qualify for the grant they must be licensed to operate in Ontario and comply with all applicable acts and standards (including the Employment Standards Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act). They must also provide employment for the individuals chosen to undergo training. Please see the official COJG page for further details on eligibility and restrictions.
The Canada Ontario Job Grant can only be applied to programs that are one year or less in duration. With Evergreen College’s wide range of accelerated programs you’ll have no need to worry about program eligibility.
